Yazbel Arriaga graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) with a B.S. in Rehabilitation Sciences and a concentration in Occupational Therapy.
At N’MORE, Yazbel contributed to research on motor recovery after stroke, including accelerometry, data processing, and tele-CPASS. She co-authored a peer-reviewed publication in Bioengineering (2025) examining the relationship between upper-extremity motor capacity and real-world performance after stroke. She also presented research at the American Society of Neurorehabilitation (ASNR) and at UTEP's 2025 Viva la Salud conference, where she presented findings on health disparities in spinal cord injury outcomes using the SCI Model Systems dataset.
Yazbel is currently pursuing her Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree at UTEP, continuing toward her goal of becoming an occupational therapist.
