Cassidy runs the screening and recruitment effort for the lab's plasticity studies. She has particular expertise to recruit individuals who have had a stroke just a few days prior for stroke rehabilitation trials.
Besides the plasticity lab, Cassidy has worked on a number of studies since she joined the MedStar Stroke Research team. She has been involved in multiple NIH StrokeNet clinical trials focused on stroke prevention and rehabilitation, including the VERIFY and CAPTIVA trials. In collaboration with investigators at Georgetown University and the Catholic University of America, Ms. Anderson has also dedicated her time towards studies focused on rehabilitation technologies such as accelerometry to determine upper-extremity (UE) functionality, and virtual reality to promote limb use in upper extremity paresis.
Cassidy graduated from George Mason University in 2019 with a B.S. in Kinesiology.
