Syed is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) medical resident at the National Rehabilitation Hospital.  He has a background in cellular/molecular neuroscience with previous research experience in neuroplasticity in various animal models.  He hopes to apply the understanding gained from his prior work to a clinical setting and better understand neurophysiological basis of neuroplasticity in humans.  In doing so, he is optimistic that better functional outcomes for stroke survivors can be achieved.
